Business Finland’s (former Tekes) Innovation Voucher, worth 5 000 euros, is a subsidy suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups, intended for the commercialisation of new innovations, services and products. The requirements for granting the Innovation Voucher have recently been made easier and an increasing number of companies can now be granted the subsidy. The essential requirement for awarding the subsidy is that the supported project must focus on a new product or service that has international growth potential.
Heinonen & Co. is an authorised service provider of the Innovation Voucher and the voucher can be used to finance our services. The Innovation Voucher allows for obtaining 5 000 euros’ (+VAT) worth of work related to patents, protection of designs and trademarks for registrability studies, for instance, or for freedom to operate (FTO) studies or the drafting of a patent, trademark or design application – the subsidy can also be used to cover official registration costs.
The Innovation Voucher is applied for electronically and it is typically granted quickly as well – even within a week from the application. The company itself applies for the support, but we would be happy to help you draft your application, so that it has the best chances to succeed, and provide early consultation on how the Innovation Voucher could best be used.
The Innovation Voucher is a very effective and quick way to obtain our services without a self-financing share, so it is definitely worth utilising in the commercialication stage of a new innovation.
